Benefits to a wireless network…

 

• Mobility:  Wireless LAN’s can provide staff, students, and vendors access to real time information from anywhere in the school.  This will be a tremendous support to instructional needs and increase productivity amongst staff.
  
  
• Return on Investment:  ETHS continues to spend money on wiring throughout the building.  As the need for technology grows for instructional and business operations, we are challenged to bring critical network services to new areas of the building.  A wireless network will greatly reduce the heavy costs associated with wiring our infrastructure.
  
  
• Scalability:  Configuration and Topologies for Wireless LAN Systems are easily altered to fit the needs of the organization.  As the demands of the school require growth, a wireless LAN gives us the ability to grow our network services without great cost or disruption to our current infrastructure.
