AlertNow: Rapid Notification System
Evanston Township High School uses the AlertNow rapid notification system to deliver voice calls, email messages or SMS messages to students, parents and staff. This system allows ETHS to share information effectively and efficiently in time-sensitive situations. AlertNow is used to send out routine school messages, such as attendance reports, event and meeting invitations or reminders, school-wide initiative information, activity cancellations, and emergency notifications.
Not receiving AlertNow messages?
Be sure to keep your phone numbers and email address up-to-date by logging on to Home Access Center (HAC).
The AlertNow system sends voice calls and emails to families of students based on the contact information you provide to the school in the Home Access Center. Keep your phone numbers and email address up-to-date by logging on to Home Access Center (HAC).
- In the Registration tab (the default screen), scroll down to the "Contact Information" section and click on the "Edit Information" link.
- Enter the phone number(s) and email address that you would like the school to use for notifications.
- After making all changes, click "Save" (at the bottom of the window).
- You may also sign up to have your Interim Progress Report and Report Cards emailed to you by clicking on the "E-Mail Alerts" tab and selecting both choices.

Sign Up to Receive AlertNow Text Messages
AlertNow SMS text messages are sent on a broad basis for emergencies situations only. In order to receive AlertNow text messages, you must opt in.
To opt-in to receive messages, visit https://www.alertnowsms.com
- Enter the pin #202202 for ETHS.
- Then provide your first name, last name, mobile phone number, and the name of your wireless service provider. You can register two phone numbers.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions, and click the Submit Opt-In Information button.
- If you've previously registered for SMS Notifications and you'd like to remove your information from the AlertNow system, go to the www.alertnowsms.com site and click the Opt-Out button.
