Career and Technical Education
We have recently updated the name of the Applied Sciences and Technologies Department to Career and Technical Education (CTE). This new name more accurately reflects our department’s mission to provide students will real-world career and job-related skills so that they can successfully pursue a wide range of college and other post-secondary options upon graduation. Today’s students will need higher levels of knowledge and skills than ever before to achieve career success. With these realities in mind, the ETHS Career and Technical Education Department provides students with:
- academic subject matter taught with relevance to the real world
- employability skills, from job-related skills to workplace ethics
- career pathways that link secondary and postsecondary education
We look forward to helping each student identify and build upon his/her career interests, skills, and aspirations. For more information, please contact your child’s counselor or the CTE office at 847-424-7660.
