Time Commitment

Procedure for Joining
All freshmen who are on the honor roll at the end of first semester of freshman year will be invited to become candidates for the ETHS Freshman Honor Society. These students and their families will receive a mailing at home towards the end of February or beginning of March. The envelope should contain additional information about the Freshman Honor Society and a verification form for signatures that indicate completion of community service hours, participation in an extracurricular activity and teacher recommendations. The verification form must be turned in to Ms. Oberman in her classroom W 312 by the date indicated at the bottom of the verification form, usually late April or early May.
Once Ms. Oberman has received a signed verification form and determined that the student is on the 3rd quarter honor roll, an invitation to the induction ceremony held before school in mid May will be mailed home to the freshman student and his/her parent/guardian.
