Israeli Club

Eligibility Requirements

Everyone is welcome and we supply lunch (such as bagels & cream cheese or pizza, plus cold drinks), so you don't have to run to lunch.

Time Commitment

Once you enter the room, you are expected to stay and actively participate through the period. Co-president duties require additional time.

Meets

Wednesdays every two weeks during lunch period, usually in room A241.

 

Procedure for Joining

Sign in upon arrival.

Description

Activities related to Israel. The most popular are the hands-on activities, such as  baking  cookies and other foods related to Jewish Holidays (latkes in Hanukkah,  matzo on Passover), Israeli folk dances, KRAV MAGA (Israeli  martial arts), Israeli  movies, Jeopardy on Israel,  presentations and discussions related to current  events in Israel. We have 6–8 co-presidents who plan the activities.

 
Twice a year we have Israeli field trips. 
  • November Israeli Film Festival in Wilmette
  • Israeli  Independence Day celebration with other schools  in the area
