Home to 35 IHSA State Championships and countless Top 10 finishes, the ETHS Athletic program is regarded as one of the best in the state of Illinois. With twelve gyms including historic Beardsley Gym, two swimming pools, a designated gymnastics training center, three weight rooms, a fieldhouse, outdoor track, four baseball and softball diamonds, eleven outdoor tennis courts and eight athletic fields including legendary Memorial Stadium, Evanston's athletic facilities have few rivals.
But more than the championships and the facilities, the driving force behind Evanston Athletics is the commitment of our coaches and the effort of our athletes. We hope you'll join the tradition of ETHS Athletics this summer by making that same effort to train and learn from some of the best coaches in high school athletics.
How to Register for
Sports at ETHS
STEP 1: Register ONLINE at https://evanston.8to18.com
. Create an Account (remember your password) and "Begin Registration" by following the prompts. Once entered, you will only need to select your new sport each new season. Multiple sport athletes will NOT need to come to the Athletic Office to pick up a new pink slip for their 2nd or 3rd sport once their permit form is on file. Call 847-424-7370 if you need assistance with this new online registration process.
STEP 2: Bring the ATHLETIC PERMIT FORM for 2014-15 to your annual doctor’s physical exam to get doctor’s signature, stamp and date of physical. The BEST date for a physical exam is after May 1st so it will not expire the next year (valid for 395 days). Incoming freshmen with a physical exam on file with ETHS Health Service may have a nurse sign/stamp the form. The Health Service office (Room N100) is open during summer school hours thru July 23 and Aug. 6 – 7, reopens Aug. 11.
STEP 3: Pre-register for and complete the ImPACT Baseline Test if you are an incoming freshman or junior or participating in sports for the first time (see Athletic Permit form for ImPACT Testing schedule). We can accommodate up to 80 students per testing session. Pre-register by going to the eths.k12.il.us web site and clicking on the "Athletic" tab and selecting "ImPACT Test Registration".
STEP 4: Hand deliver the PERMIT FORM to the Athletic Office during the appropriate registration dates (see below). The Athletic Permit Form is good for the entire school year unless your physical will expire during your sports season. You will receive a pink slip upon the registration of your first sport only. Multiple sport athletes will NOT need to come to the Athletic Office to pick up a new pink slip for their 2nd or 3rd sport once their permit form is on file.
