ETHS Speech Team Sends a Student to State Competition

Congratulations to ETHS senior Jenna Rapisarda who finished 10th at the state level on February 17-18, 2012 when she competed at the IHSA State Speech Tournament in Peoria, IL. The 2012 state meet marked the 72nd annual edition of event.
Rapisarda was a double qualifier after the ETHS Speech Team competed in the IHSA Sectional Tournament on February 11. With a third place finish in two categories, Dramatic Interpretation and Oratorical Declamation, she advanced to the state level with other top three competitors in each event.
Final round competitors at the sectional tournament were:
Jenna Rapisarda: 3rd place in Dramatic Interpretation; 3rd Place in Oratorical Declamation
Dana Stamos – 4th place in Humorous Interpretation; 6th Place in Original Oratory
Faith Yarnoff – 4th place in Informative Speaking
Katie Greenberg – 5th place in Radio Speaking
