Literature Resource Center LRC- Provides access to biographies, bibliographies, and critical analyses of authors from every age and literary discipline. Combining Gale Group's core literary databases in a single online service, this also covers more than 120,000 novelists, poets, essayists, journalists, and other writers, with in-depth coverage of 2,500 of the most-studied authors.
NoveList - Your complete guide to fiction. This database allows users to locate works of fiction, reviews, and author and plot information by use of both quick and advanced searching features. Users can also access information on author read-alikes, book discussion guides, book talks, and feature articles concerning fiction in general. Various links also connect to websites with excellent teacher resource materials. This database offers over 7,000 articles and 115,000 dictionary terms in all areas of science and technology as well as biographical information on famous scientists. Teen Health & Wellness - Comprehensive fully cited articles, written by medical professionals on topics including: diseases, drugs, alcohol, nutrition, fitness, mental health, diversity, family life, and more. Also contains a glossary; interactive polls and quizzes; and first-person teen narratives.
Professional Education
ERIC - The world’s largest source of education information, contains abstracts of documents and journal articles on education research and practice. Database also covers descriptions and evaluations of programs, research reports and surveys, curriculum and teaching guides, instructional materials, position papers, and resource materials. Search options allow users to check availability of items in other libraries across Illinois.
ProQuest Professional Education - Gives users access to over 790 top educational publications, including more than 615 of the titles in full-text. Offers complete information on hundreds of educational topics. PDF imaged articles include charts, tables, and diagrams.
