Admission Policy
Evanston Township High School is open to residents of the city of Evanston and the portion of Skokie bounded on the south side of Greenleaf Street and the east side of Crawford Avenue.
Entrance Requirements
Grade 9
Student must live in the District 202 boundaries and have successfully completed the eighth grade.
Grades 10, 11, 12
Students must live in the District 202 boundaries and all transferring student's are required to present a transcript from their previous high school at the time of enrollment to the Registrar's Office. The transfer credit will be evaluated to determine grade level placement.
Entrance Testing
Students transferring into ETHS are tested on MAP upon registration and are placed based on MAP scores and transcripts. You will be scheduled to take the test when you enroll. The test score results will be used for placement purposes.
Health Requirements
Illinois State Law requires that all students have a complete physical examination and update of all immunizations before entering high school.
Immunization records and Physical Exam Form must have a physician's signature or stamp. Both records can be obtained from the former school or a duly completed Certificate of Child Health examination form.
How to Enroll
In order to enroll your student at ETHS you must have all of the following documents:
- Birth Certificate
- Medical records (past immunizations & physical)
- 8th grade diploma (if incoming freshman) or transcript from previous high school.
- Illinois Student Transfer Form (Illinois transfer students)
- 2 documents verifying residency including name & in district address of parent or legal guardian. (see below)
→ Lease or → Property purchase agreement or → Property Tax
AND
→ Current gas bill or → Current electric bill or → Current water bill
* If you are re-enrolling your student, only proof of residency is required
Residence Requirements
Evanston Township High School District 202 requires that all students be bona fide residents of the district. The student must be living with a parent(s) or a guardian(s) who is a resident of the district.
