The Woman’s Club of Evanston (WCE) hosts its annual benefit show in March, creating a theatrical production called "Working Nine to W(h)ine…It’s Five O’clock Somewhere." Proceeds from this year’s benefit will fund the Youth Job Center of Evanston, Inc. (YJC). YJC is a nonprofit agency that assists job seekers ages 14-25 in finding employment. The YJC also operates an outpost at Evanston Township High School (ETHS) on select days and times of the week to help ETHS students find jobs and receive job skills training throughout the school year.
Tickets are on sale now for 8:00pm shows on March 8, 9, 10, 15, 16, and 17. The WCE clubhouse, 1702 Chicago Ave. in Evanston, will be transformed into the "hustle and bustle" of Evanston celebrated through work and life. Tickets, $32.50-$40.00 each, can be purchased online at
www.wcofe.org. A special pre-performance Opening Night Gala cocktail party will be held on March 8
th from 6:15 to 7:30pm, featuring the musical stylings of WCE members Jennifer French and Molly Conrad. Opening Night Gala tickets are $15.00 each.
About 200 volunteers work on the theatrical production that written, directed, choreographed, and performed by WCE members and friends.
