Step 3: Get Involved & Stay Connected!

  • Plan your school year, plan your future.

While at ETHS, students will develop a broader awareness of self and the breadth of opportunities available after high school. Engaging in the creation of your Individualized Career and Academic Plan (ICAP) will inform your decisions about courses and activities and allow you to make connections to your goals. Your ICAP incorporates self-exploration, career exploration, and academic planning activities that enhance the relevance of school and out-of-school learning experiences. For questions or assistance, students and families may visit the ETHS Counseling web page for your grade-level counseling calendar and other resources, as well as more details about College & Career Services.

Join a club or activity, or attend school events. ETHS has more than 70 clubs available to students. Students in all grade levels can also participate in Student Government. Not looking to join a club right now? Attend school events such as dances, or cheer on classmates at school competitions and performances. Click on the link below for a detailed list of available clubs and activities, or visit the Student Activities office in The Hub (W220).

Explore community service opportunities. The Community Service Office provides many service activities and service learning experiences that suit student schedules, personal goals, skill sets, and interests. Participate in the arts. The Fine Arts department at ETHS offers a variety of experiences in theatre including stage crew, music, speech and debate, and visual arts. Find places to go for help at ETHS. ETHS has a variety of academic student centers, libraries, and supports available to all students. Visit our "Places to Go" page below to find out more about these locations and hours of operation.

Log in to Student and Parent portals. The ETHS website has two online portals for students and parents to monitor student learning and participation: Home Access Center (HAC) and myETHS. A single user account provides access to both portals. Learn more about what you can do with these portals at the link below.

Attend Open House Day - September 9. On Monday, September 9, ETHS will host its annual Open House Day to provide our families with multiple ways to be involved in their student’s high school experience.  Spend a day — or an evening — as a Wildkit by attending the School Day Open House or the Evening Open House. You may choose the option that best meets your needs. For registration information and details, visit the web page below.

Discover parent involvement opportunities. Follow the link below to learn about opportunities for parent involvement at ETHS. In addition to these formal parent groups and committees, there are also a number of volunteer opportunities within the various ETHS departments, or through sports teams and student activities or clubs (e.g., team parent for some sports teams and competitive clubs).
