Dec 5, 3:42pm CT

Evanston Township High School presents “Noises Off”, a British comedy by Tony Award winner, Michael Frayn, on December 14, 15, and 16 at 7:30pm in the Upstairs Theatre.

“Noises Off” is a play within a play and showcases a group of actors in the various stages of performing the traditional farce, “Nothing On.” It portrays the backstage antics of a cast mired by exhaustion, confusion, and damaged relationships. Featuring one of the most challenging set designs at ETHS to date, the entire set of “Noises Off”  rotates and transitions from the onstage performance to reveal the collective nervous breakdown occurring backstage. The play is directed by Tom Sollers and designed by Aaron Carney.

General admission tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are available online at, where you can print your own ticket, and at the ETHS box office before each performance.

Located at 1600 Dodge Ave., the ETHS Upstairs Theatre is accessible by elevator. Parking is recommended in the school’s rear lot; enter off of Church or Lake Streets. For more information, call the ETHS Fine Arts Office at 847-424-7130.
