Navigating the Course Request Process for Parents/Students in Grades 9-11

On this night, counselors will join Department Chairs and other school leaders to provide information on course offerings for sophomore-senior years, the course request process, and how to make course requests for next school year’s classes. Information will also be provided about online resources for exploring career interests through course electives and how the District budget impacts course offerings.


This event will be held at 6:30pm on December 13 in the auditorium and is open to ETHS parents/guardians and their students who are currently in grades 9, 10, or 11. Counselors will also provide additional guidance for students in grades 9-11 during educational planning sessions in January.

Incoming Freshmen: Counselors and Department Chairs will share information about freshman year course information and electives, and counselors will provide guidance about the course request process for incoming freshman students and their families at Course Selection Night on January 16 and 17. Course Selection Night is for parents/guardians and students who are currently in 8th grade and are registered to attend ETHS in fall 2019, and is an important part of the course request process.
