Updates for Week Ending December 11; ETHS Winter Break 2020

Dear ETHS Families –


Winter Break for ETHS students and staff begins at 4:00pm on Friday, December 18. Please see the Enhanced E-learning schedule for details about the class periods and office hours that day. As a reminder, there are no semester exams in December.


Evanston Township High School and all District 202 offices will be closed for Winter Break  December 20, 2020 – January 3, 2021. The ETHS Health Center will have limited hours for appointments during this time. Please call (847) 424-7265 or email if you need to make an appointment.

Please note that meal distribution will be available during the break at the ETHS site only. Meals are available at no charge to all children ages 18 and under. Meals can be picked up at Door 27 off of Wildkit Drive on Monday, December 21 and Monday, December 28 between 9am - 6pm. Please see the Food Services and Distribution page of ETHS website for details.


Visitors, students and staff (except for essential Operations, IIT, and Safety personnel) will not be allowed to enter the school through Entrance #1, Entrance #2, or Entrance #3 during the Winter Break. The Enhanced E-learning schedule will resume on Monday, January 4, 2021.


Do you have textbooks or materials that you no longer need?

ETHS needs to collect textbooks and other materials that students no longer need for their classes. Once you no longer need to use your books or materials from the first semester, please return items to the Entrance 2 lobby during the week of December 14-19. Please see details on the Materials Distribution and Return page of the ETHS website.


Is your contact information up-to-date?

ETHS relies on contact information (email address and phone numbers), particularly during Enhanced E-learning, to reach students and families. Prior to winter break, please take time, if needed, to update your contact information in Home Access Center (HAC) for third quarter. This includes mobile, work, and home numbers. Parents/guardians should follow the steps on How to Update Your Contact Information to make any changes.
