Student IDs

Students will receive their 2022-23 ETHS student ID on the first day of school. Virtual student IDs can be accessed through a student's myETHS account.

  • ETHS requires students to have an ID photo on file as a part of the student record; students can verify they have a photo on file with directions located on the ETHS website.
  • ETHS is taking photos of all new incoming students; new students will have the opportunity to have a photo taken during their new student orientation.
  • New students that had their photo taken during summer school Prep to ETHS course do not need to have another photo at orientation.
  • ETHS will print ID cards for 2022-23 and they will be distributed on the first day of school.
  • ETHS has a mobile ID card that can be accessed via phone, tablet, or chromebook, directions for accessing the mobile ID card are available online.
  • Questions? Contact Ms. Johnson, ETHS Facilities & ID Specialist, at johnsond@eths202.org or 847-424-7316.

Health Information and Updates

Living with COVID continues to be an area of concern in our community and we know that more updates will be needed as guiding practices evolve. Here is what we currently know:

  • Vaccinations: Students and staff are strongly encouraged to get their COVID boosters before the start of the school year.
  • If you were vaccinated for COVID-19, but have not received your booster(s), you may be required to quarantine if you are a close contact.
  • COVID vaccinations and boosters continue to be effective in reducing the risk of severe disease, hospitalization, and  death. Many vaccines see reduced protection over time.

Many vaccine providers, such as local health departments, clinics, and pharmacies, are able to provide additional doses or booster doses. You can find a vaccine provider at www.vaccines.gov or call 1-800-232-0244 (TTY 888-720-7489).

  • Quarantining: If someone at school tests positive for COVID-19, they will be asked to stay home for at least 5 full days (day 0 is the first day of symptoms or the day of the positive viral test for asymptomatic persons). Anyone who tests positive will also be asked about people they have been around so that everyone who has been exposed can be notified, consistent with contact tracing.
    • NOTE: If you were exposed to COVID and are not up to date with COVID vaccination(s) and a booster, you will be required to quarantine for at least 5 days.
    • Confirmed COVID-19 cases of our students should be reported to our nurses' office (nurses@eths202.org). Please also see steps for Reporting an Illness or Absences
  • COVID Testing: ETHS will continue to provide optional, free SHIELD testing during the 2022-23 school year. COVID testing is administered by our SHIELD-designated third party partner Zebra Health. Details will be shared before the first day of school.
  • Masking: Due to the current COVID risk factors, wearing a mask continues to be optional while indoors at ETHS during the school day. Masks will continue to be available at each entrance of the building.
    • Masks continue to be federally required in healthcare settings and for healthcare personnel, including school nurse office, trainers office, and school based health center.
    • Anyone who chooses to wear a mask will be supported in their decision to do so at any COVID-19 Community Level, including low.

ETHS will be closed on August 11 for Staff Institute Day

Visitors will not be able to conduct general business in the school on Thursday, August 11, as all staff members will be involved in institute training sessions. The high school will be open at 9:30am on Friday, August 12.  Athletic and activity practices will take place as scheduled on these days.

End-of-Summer Fest on August 13

Join us for a free community event to celebrate the end of summer on Saturday, August 13! The End-of-Summer Fest will be held at James Park from 2-6pm. ETHS families are welcome to attend and enjoy activities, food, and giveaways. A flyer can be downloaded from the online calendar.
