Senior Prom Information

Evanston Township High School sponsors its Senior Prom on Saturday, May 11. This event celebrates our students and their high school journey. 

 

EVENT DETAILS

We want to ensure students have a safe and enjoyable Prom experience. ETHS staff chaperone Prom. ETHS staff and the Chicago Police Department chaperone the Spirit of Chicago Cruise. The Chicago Police Department has jurisdiction at Navy Pier and on the Spirit of Chicago cruise.

 

Prom Venue 

Location: Navy Pier Aon Grand Ballroom, 600 E Grand Ave, Chicago, IL 60611
Date: Saturday, May 11, 2024
Time: 7:30pm - 11:30pm

 

Prom is followed by the Spirit of Chicago After-Prom Moonlight Cruise (optional).
Time: 12:00am - 2:30am

 

 

TICKETS and REGISTRATION
Students interested in attending Prom MUST register. If you have an approved guest, you must also register your guest. Prom tickets are $160 each.

EXPECTATIONS

  1. Follow ETHS rules and guidelines (The Pilot handbook).

  2. Do not visit your car once you check into Prom. Bring all items for Prom and the cruise with you when you check in.

  3. Do not use alcohol or a controlled substance.

  4. Cooperate with fair and reasonable requests from school officials. This may include a request to take a breathalyzer test. Breathalyzer tests are given both randomly and when there is suspicion of substance use.

 

Consequences

  1. A parent/guardian will be contacted to pick up the student. 

  2. Students will face appropriate disciplinary consequence(s), according to school policies.

We offer a free coat check for students who choose to go on the boat.

PROM GUEST INFORMATION
The online Prom Guest Approval Form will open at the Senior Assembly. You can complete it by April 14. We will not accept forms after April 14. We will email students to let them know if their guest has been approved. If you have questions about this, contact Dean Boyd at boydn@eths202.org.

 

 

BOUTIQUE NIGHTS & DISCOUNTS

Dreams Delivered by the Woman’s Club of Evanston provides free prom dresses, shoes, jewelry, and accessories to ETHS students.

 

A free boutique night will be held Sunday, April 14 through Tuesday, April 16, with a variety of times at the Woman’s Club of Evanston. Schedule an appointment to choose your dress and accessories. Contact the Student Activities Office for more information.

TARDY CLEARANCE

To buy a Prom ticket and attend Prom, students must have:

  • 10 or fewer tardy detentions

  • no unserved behavioral consequences 

Seniors and junior guests must clear detentions no later than Saturday, April 13. For more information about clearing detentions review the ETHS Tardy Tracker Info for Students.
