Please be aware of the following schedule for summer building access and office hours at Evanston Township High School District 202.

 

• Construction and renovation projects will take place at ETHS July 10-27. 

• Beginning June 2 through July 25, ETHS will operate on a Monday through Thursday summer work schedule. District offices will be closed to the public on Fridays. 

• Regular hours will resume beginning Monday, July 28.

 

There will be limited access to the ETHS building during this period and at certain times when all staff are in required meetings or training. Please note the following information:

 

Summer School (May 28–July 9) 

• Students attending summer school may enter through Entrance 1 (Dodge Avenue) or Entrance 2 (Wildkit Drive). 

• Summer School Sessions 1 and 2 will take place primarily in the South, West, and East wings. 

• The Summer School office will be located in the Deans’ Office (H109; use Entrance 1). 

• The Summer School office staff includes the director, secretary, dean(s), counselor, and social worker.

• The office will be open from 7:00am – 2:30pm, Monday-Friday, and can be reached at (847) 424-7950.

ETHS Closed for Construction

• To allow time to complete several construction projects, we will limit access to ETHS from July 10-27. Essential personnel only.

  • During this period, the Gym Wing will remain open.

  • In addition, 12-month offices in other wings will be able to schedule visitors to conduct district business on a limited basis. Visitors will only be able to access the ETHS building by appointment. 

• The Gym Wing will be closed August 4-6. This will allow us time to prepare athletic facilities for the upcoming school year.

 

Athletics Office 

• Students and families may complete sports registration online. Please call the Athletics Office at 847-424-7370 if you need to schedule a visit during the summer. Health forms should be turned into the Nurses’ Office (see below).

 

ChromeZone Summer Hours (May 27–August 1)

• Students and staff may visit the ChromeZone (H220) for technology support during the following hours: 7:45am-1:45pm, Monday-Friday from May 27-August 1. 

• Regular hours will resume on August 11.

 

ETHS Health Center Summer Hours (May 27– July 24)

• The ETHS Health Center will remain in its regular location (H101) during the summer and will be open regular hours for ALL students, 8:00am - 4:00pm from May 27 - July 3. 

• Beginning July 7 and through July 25, the Health Center will be open Monday-Thursday, 7:30am-5:00pm (closed 12:30-1:30pm), and closed on Fridays.

• Regular hours resume July 28.

 

Nurses’ Office* (Health Services) Summer Hours (June 2–August 1)

• The Nurses’ Office will remain in N121 during the summer. The Nurses’ Office will be open: 

  • May 27-June 2, Tuesday-Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm 

  • June 3-July 9, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 am-4:00 pm and Friday, 8:00am-1:30pm

  • July 10-24, Monday- Thursday, 7:30am - 4:00 pm 

  • No nurse is available after 1:30 pm June 3–July 9. 

  • No nurse will be in the office July 10- August 1. 

• Regular hours will resume on July 28.

*Health forms and sports registration forms may be placed in the drop boxes located at Entrance 1 and Entrance 2.

 

Staff Institute Days: August 7-8; Building closed August 7 

• ETHS will be closed on Thursday, August 7, to welcome back staff for our opening institute day. Visitors will not be able to conduct general business in the school on this day, as all staff members will be involved in institute training sessions. 

• The high school will reopen on August 8, at 9:30am. 

 

The first day of school for students is Monday, August 11, 2025.
