In-Person Commencement Ceremonies on Friday, May 21

Evanston Township High School will host in-person commencement ceremonies for the Class of 2021 on Friday, May 21, 2021. This is an optional event, which will be live streamed on the ETHS YouTube channel.

There are six options of ceremony times. Students should check their email for the In-Person Commencement Sign-up form and sign up for a ceremony time using their school email no later than May 7. Each ceremony will be approximately 60 minutes in duration and will have a limited number of graduates. When time slots become full, those times will no longer appear on the sign-up form.

Seniors will be issued five tickets to gain access to the event. Guests will be required to comply with all safety requirements, which include physical distancing and wearing masks. Tickets will be distributed near Entrance 3 on May 19 & 20 from 4:00-7:00pm. No additional tickets will be distributed.

Graduates will be walking across Lazier Field on Friday, May 21. Comfortable clothing and flat, comfortable shoes are recommended.

The ceremony will have an expedited program to accommodate families in the safest manner possible. Students and families are expected to immediately exit Lazier Field at the conclusion of their assigned ceremony to allow the next group of participants to check in and prepare for their commencement ceremony.

Following the in-person commencement, students will receive their diploma and cap & gown photo (if they took one on the designated dates in April). Diplomas and cap & gown photos will be mailed to students who do not attend the in-person commencement. Please note: all school fines and fees must be paid in full for a student to receive their diploma. Please check myETHS for account balance information.
