New Student Transition Support
Throughout the school year, Welcome Center staff and volunteers support transfer students and incoming freshmen and their families as they transition to ETHS by providing guidance through the registration process. Walk-ins are welcome on a first-come, first-served basis during the Welcome Center office hours. Families are encouraged to call or email (welcome@eths202.org) to schedule an appointment in advance. Appointments are highly recommended from June to November due to high volumes of student registrations and/or staffing levels. For more information on the registration process, visit Student Registration.Events & Workshops
The Welcome Center hosts workshops based on parent interest and requests, and have included such topics as high school course requests, transition from middle school to ETHS, and programs of special interest to families. Event and workshop information and dates are published on the Welcome Center Calendar and the printed school activities calendar.Latino Liaison, Interpretation & Translation Services
The Office of the Latino Liaison/Minority Language Coordinator is located in the Welcome Center to provide support for Latino families as well as families who speak languages other than English. The Latino Liaison/Minority Languages Coordinator oversees the district’s language interpretation (verbal) and translation (written) services to communicate critical information to parents/guardians about their child’s education. This includes interpretation services for residency and school registration, academic program registration, Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, parent-teacher conferences, attendance, discipline or safety concerns, and certain schoolwide events as well as translation of essential ETHS school documents.Requests for Information
