Open House Day

SCHOOL DAY OPEN HOUSE (formerly Parent Shadow Day): 8:00am-3:35pm

Parents, guardians, and other adult family members (grandparents, godparents, aunts, uncles, adult siblings 25 years and older) can RSVP to attend school on Open House Day with their current ETHS student in grade 9-12. Depending on their schedule, they can join their student for the entire school day, half day, or just one or two classes. During the School Day Open House, adult guests can experience 42-minute classes, lunch time, and passing periods with their child(ren) to see what it feels like to be a “Wildkit for a Day.”

The school day begins at 8:00am with AM Support and continues with the regular school schedule (42-minute periods) until 3:35pm. First period begins at 8:32am. To kick off the day, adult guests are invited to attend a Morning Welcome Coffee in the Welcome Center “VIP Suite” in room E112 at 7:30am. The VIP Suite is open all day for guests through the end of 8th period and will have light refreshments and free Wi-Fi. Lunch will be available for purchase in the Terrace staff dining room or the student cafeterias.

Guests will follow their student’s schedule, visiting each classroom for 10-minutes to get to know their child’s teachers and to hear about course expectations. Grade-level deans, social workers, psychologists, and counselors will provide information about student well-being resources during 10-minute lunch periods.

No registration is required for the Evening Open House. The VIP Suite in the Welcome Center (E112) will be open for coffee/tea throughout the evening, beginning at 5:30pm. The Evening Open House event agenda and bell schedule is available here.
