Laurette Levy

The Evanston Township High School community is deeply saddened that one of our ETHS staff members, Laurette Levy, died on October 29, 2019. Ms. Levy joined the counseling office in 2013, and was secretary to the assistant superintendent and principal since 2018. Her husband, Rowyan Levy, is a member of the ETHS Safety Department.

We are sensitive to the fact that the loss of a member of our school community has an impact on our students and staff. Anticipating possible reactions to this event, we have provided some information which may be helpful. Parents and guardians can begin helping their children by giving them an opportunity to talk about it, listening carefully and calmly, accepting their feelings, and answering questions honestly according to your beliefs. If you desire support for your student, you may contact the ETHS Social Work Office at (847) 424-7230 or students may go to the Social Work Office in E123.
