The ETHS Digest for FY2019 was recognized by the Government Finance Officers Association.
For the eighth consecutive year, Evanston Township High School District 202 is the recipient of the Government Finance Officers Association’s Popular Annual Financial Reporting Award. Having met or exceeded the program’s high standards for accessible, easily understandable financial reporting and accountability, ETHS District 202 was recognized for its Popular Annual Financial Report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019.
In an effort to produce transparent, easy-to-understand reporting, the Popular Annual Financial Report focuses on financial highlights, budgetary information, and accolades from the past year. During the District 202 Board meeting on January 11, 2021, Superintendent Eric Witherspoon presented the award and Chief Financial Officer Mary Rodino discussed the most recent FY2020 report. The Popular Annual Financial Reporting (PAFR) Award confirms the school business office’s commitment to financial accountability and transparency. Recognition through the PAFR program can help strengthen a district’s presentation for bond issuance statements and promotes a high level of financial reporting.
