Evanston Township High School Athletic Director Chris Livatino and Assistant Athletic Director Mike Burzawa were celebrated for their continued leadership by the Illinois Athletic Directors Association (IADA). Livatino and Burzawa were recognized at the IADA conference held in Peoria on June 22, 2021.
Livatino was named the 2020-2021 Class 3A/4A Athletic Director of the Year. He was recognized for numerous achievements, including fostering high standards of professional proficiency and ethics, increasing the understanding of athletics, and promoting unity, goodwill, and fellowship among all members of interscholastic programs throughout the state of Illinois.
Burzawa was recognized as the 2019-2020 Assistant Athletic Director of the Year by the IADA for his continued leadership in athletics at ETHS and across the state. The award was given this year because the conference was cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
