Six ETHS Students Chosen for State Music Conference

Six students from Evanston Township High School have been selected to participate in the 2022 Illinois Music Education Association (ILMEA) All-State Conference.
Three ETHS students received awards in the annual composition contest. ETHS junior Tanner Carlson-Huber received a first place award in the Avant Garde/Electronic category; ETHS senior Noah McLeod received a third place award in the Vocal Ensemble category; and ETHS senior Luca Piattoni received a first place award in the Jazz Improvisation category. ETHS senior Emi Brady (French Horn), ETHS junior Daniel Goes (Viola) and junior Skye Elzaurdia (Clarinet) have been selected to perform in the All-State Ensembles. All three will work with world-renowned conductors in a concentrated rehearsal environment culminating in a special performance at the conclusion of the conference.
The ILMEA conference will be held January 26-29 in Peoria. The event brings together thousands of people from the music education learning community for clinic sessions, performances, and networking events. For more information, visit the ILMEA website.
