The ETHS Educational Foundation raised more than $450,000 in dollars and equipment for the school’s new advanced manufacturing lab. Spectacular renovations were completed in September, 2015.
Upgraded equipment includes new welders, mills and lathes as well as a new air filtration system.
An open house and ribbon-cutting were held on Nov. 10, 2015 with more than 70 donors and community members in attendance.
As the demand for greater emphasis on technical skills grew to become a national concern, ETHS continued to enhance its longstanding program with courses such as Metal Sculpture, Manufacturing Technology and Manufacturing Engineering/Computer Integrated Machining (CIM), which offer certifications by the National Institute of Metalworking Skills (NIMS).
Students interested in engineering and manufacturing now have access to a cutting edge facility which allows them hands-on design experience and preparation for the work and degree programs required to become competitive in the global workforce.
