Two ETHS Students Qualify for IJAS Science Fair State Finals

Evanston Township High School students Emily Hauser and Alexis Kaiser both won gold medals at the Illinois Junior Academy of Science (IJAS) Regional Science Fair and qualified for the state finals.
Hauser's research centers on fluid dynamics and is titled "Effect of Surface Deformations on Hydraulic Jump." Kaiser conducted research related to weather conditions affecting efficiencies of using wireless devices for contact tracing during the COVID pandemic and is titled "Effects of Rain on Raspberry Pi RSSI Values." Both students’ research are additionally in the running for Best in Category awards (Hauser for physics and Kaiser for engineering).
