ETHS Mathematics teacher Lara DeMoya

ETHS Mathematics teacher Lara DeMoya received the T.E. Rine Award for Excellence in Secondary Mathematics Teaching at the annual Illinois Council of Teachers of Mathematics (ICTM) Conference in October 2022.

The award honors one outstanding secondary school mathematics teacher each year. DeMoya was recognized for her highly motivated work in the classroom to help students advance their mathematics education, as well as her growth and leadership as a mathematics educator to help influence others toward improved mathematics education.
