As part of this year’s Homecoming celebration, the ETHS Foundation is competing against the New Trier Educational Foundation in the “School Spirit Showdown.” This friendly fundraising competition involves the total number of first-time donors who make a gift to their respective Foundation between September 12 through the kickoff of the varsity Homecoming football game. The game is Friday, September 29, at 7:30pm at Lazier Field.
“The School Spirit Showdown will support our Wildkits through the creation of dynamic educational spaces and learning opportunities for students from each school,” said Sarah Schmidt, the Associate Executive Director of the ETHS Foundation. “Any competition involving New Trier brings out the best of our Wildkit community. And we know this campaign will be no different.”
In addition to the Showdown, the ETHS Foundation will host a tent at the game and will be passing out ETHS pom poms to help cheer on the ‘Kits against New Trier. Stop by to support our Wildkits.

ETHS is also hosting a Homecoming Canned Food Drive the night of the homecoming football game to support the high school’s fall food distribution event on September 30, as well as local food pantries. Anyone who donates two cans of food will receive free admission to the varsity game.
