Six seniors from Evanston Township High School have been named Semifinalists in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program. 

The ETHS Semifinalists are: Jacob DiCrescenzo, Anna Grigorescu, Sarah Schulkin, Alexander Senechal, Aidan Thomson, and Emmett  Zaslow. 

The National Merit Scholarship Company (NMSC) annually recognizes U.S. high school students who demonstrate definitive marks of academic excellence. Semifinalists have an opportunity to continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships to be offered next spring. 

Approximately 16,000 high school students were named as semifinalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC). These students represent less than one percent of U.S. high school seniors. According to NMSC, semifinalists and their schools must submit a detailed scholarship application that demonstrates an outstanding academic record throughout high school and endorsement by a high school official.
