Evanston Township High School’s Fall Freshman/Sophomore production, The Birds by Aristophanes and adapted by Andrew Biliter, will be performed on October 24, 25, and 26, at 7:00pm in the Little Theatre. General admission tickets are $8 for adults, $6 for students/seniors. Tickets are available at ethsfinearts.com.

The Birds takes place in Ancient Greece, where two best friends flee the corruption of Athens and seek out a simpler life in the land of the birds. Finding the vibes ideal but the amenities lacking, they convince their feathered friends to build a magnificent city in the clouds. Before long, the birds are ruling over the world below, dominating even the gods themselves. But will it last? Utopia is great until it isn’t in this absurd comedy about power, ambition, and our animal nature, based on a play that first premiered in 414 BC.

The Little Theatre is wheelchair accessible. Parking is recommended in Lots 2, 2A, and 2B behind the school; enter off of Lake or Church Streets. For more information, visit the ETHS Fine Arts website or call 847-424-7130.
