Open House Day

On Monday, August 30, teachers will send an introduction of themselves and the class during the school day. Parents and guardians will get to know who the teachers are, what they teach, and how the block schedule looks in their classrooms. Families will be introduced to their students’ teachers through slides, videos, or other formats which can be accessed at any time. ETHS classrooms and building spaces are not open to visitors during the school day on Open House Day.

The purpose of the school day open house is to support students and teachers in building their classroom communities. In addition to the teacher introductions, ETHS Superintendent Dr. Eric Witherspoon and Assistant Superintendent/Principal Dr. Marcus Campbell will share a video message for Open House Day.

New for the 2021-22 school year, the Evening Open House will support the goal of rebuilding community at ETHS. The staff caucuses at ETHS will host the Evening Open House in racial affinity spaces and the event will include an anti-racist working session with a facilitator. Staff will not be in their individual classrooms or spaces during the Evening Open House; students and families will be able to connect with staff in designated spaces at ETHS.

Individuals are welcome to wear masks outdoors, regardless of vaccination status, if they choose, and ETHS health protocols will be followed.
