Summer reading is an expectation of all students. At ETHS we are building a culture of readers, and to prepare for each upcoming school year, summer reading lists are created for Wildkits to enjoy. Students are encouraged to continue cultivating the habit of reading and escape into new worlds with a good book during the summer break. 

Every student is encouraged to select one book from the ETHS Summer Reading List or Transfer Reading List. Pick up a great book, or several, from the official ETHS list for this summer! We look forward to hearing thoughts about the reading selections. 

A note to students and their families: a variety of topics, genres, and styles are included on the list so that students will find books that they enjoy. Some of the titles were suggested by students, some are award winners, and many are highly acclaimed recent releases. Parents may want to assist their child in choosing appropriate books in consideration of their family’s values and children’s interests.
