Health Screenings and Self-Certification for Entry

    Health Screening

Screening checks are required for all staff and students entering the building or arriving on campus.

The ETHS community relies on accurate and honest self-assessments. ETHS students, families, and staff who do not provide accurate and honest answers to the COVID screening questions are considered to be non-compliant with district practices and procedures relevant to public health and the pandemic.

The Safety Department checks the temperatures of every person who has not COVID self-certified upon arrival to ETHS. The following series of questions will be asked to self-certify.

    • Do you have any of the following symptoms:
      • New fever, chills and/ or muscle aches?
      • New cough or sore throat?
      • New shortness of breath or difficulty breathing?
      • New fatigue or headache?
      • New loss of taste or smell?
      • New nausea, vomiting, or diarrhea?
    • Have you been diagnosed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
    • Do you have a close contact/household contact quarantined or confirmed with COVID-19 in the last 14 days?
      • If yes, have two weeks passed since you received a complete COVID-19 vaccination (single-dose vaccine or second dose of a two-dose vaccine)?

Depending on your answers, you will see a message that you are COVID Certified for today at ETHS or that you are NOT COVID Certified for the day. If anyone denied access would like further clarification, please contact Matthew Driscoll, Director of Safety, at
