Special Dietary Needs

  • Allergies can be self-managed by students or parents creating an account within our menu platform - MealViewer. Use the filter feature to select the allergens that need to be avoided. The result will be the display of menu items that are safe for consumption. If you would like more up to date information regarding a specific menu item(s) please contact Nutrition Services by phone (847-424-7225) or email.

Disclaimer: Please be advised that our menu items may contain allergens, or may have come in contact with items containing allergens, and there is always a risk of contamination or cross-contact. In addition, the potential does exist, that food manufacturers may change their formulation or manner of processing without our knowledge. We do not guarantee the accuracy of nutrition information. Ingredient and nutrition content of foods may vary due to changes in product formulation, recipe substitutions, portion size and other factors.

Additionally, each cafeteria is equipped with an electronic menu board. This menu board displays the day’s menu items, their nutritional values and any allergens that they might contain.

Students requiring a diet that is individually prepared by the school cafeteria, because of health related needs, must have a licensed physician’s order. It is understood that some diets require that a student avoid certain foods because of allergies or intolerance but do not necessarily require special preparation by the school cafeteria. Parents/guardians must notify the school nurse regarding any special dietary needs by completing the district’s form. This form can be obtained from the Nurses' Office.
