Physical Education is a required academic course for all students. PE is included in the weighted GPA and ETHS does not have PE pull-out programs or PE waivers. The PE Department is located in G115.
The Athletics Program is for students who enjoy competition and practice for their chosen sport during the fall, winter or spring athletic seasons. Tryouts are required in most athletic sports. The Athletics Department is located in G183.
The Intramural Sports Program is for any student who wants to participate in a sports or fitness activity that can be recreational or competitive. Tryouts are not required. Intramurals is located in the PE Department in G115.
The ETHS Dance Company and the ETHS Special Olympics (Mr. Vargas) are both supervised by the Physical Education Department Chair. These two programs are currently considered "club" activities at ETHS. However, their function is similar to athletics. Tryouts are required for the dance company but not for the special Olympics team. Both these programs are located in the PE Department in G115.
