NCAA
DIVISION I- Minimum required GPA of 2.3 in 16 required/approved CORE courses
- A minimum of 2.0 allows for an "academic" redshirt - scholarship and practice, but no competition in first year
- Test Scores are given on a sliding scale. 2.3 requires 980 SAT (Verb/Math) or ACT 75 sum score (ave 18.75 in 4 subjects); 2.0 academic redshirt requires ACT 86 superscore (ave 21.5 in 4 subjects) or 1020 SAT (Verb/Math). See NCAA Quick Reference Guide
- Register with the NCAA Eligibility Center to be cleared
- Graduate from High School
- Requirements begin Freshman Year of HS
- An academic course in one or a combination of these areas: English, mathematics, natural/physical science, social science, foreign language, comparative religion or philosophy;
- Four-year college preparatory; and
- Taught at or above your high school’s regular academic level (no remedial courses, those taught at a slower pace or those that cover less content).

NCAA
DIVISION II- Earn at least an NCAA CORE GPA of 2.2 in 16 required/approved CORE courses (see Div I note on core courses)
- Test Score: Min ACT 68 sum score or SAT 900
- Requirements begin Freshman Year of HS
- Earn SAT or ACT sum score that matches the CORE course GPA on the NCAA DII Quick Reference Guide
- Register with the NCAA Eligibility Center to be cleared
- Graduate from High School

DIVISION III- Graduate from High School
- No set eligibility requirements. Each institution determines its own requirements for admission.
NAIA
- Graduate from High School

Meet 2 of 3 criteria
- Min 2.0 GPA
- Min SAT 970 or ACT 18 composite
- Graduate in the top 50% of class
